Source/receiver optimization for inverse scattering problems
U2.1.54
ENSTA Paris
We are interested in optimizing the multi-static configuration of data used in inverse scattering problems. In particular, we study how to optimally position and reduce the number of sources and receivers to image a scatterer embedded in a homogeneous medium. The optimized configuration is obtained by a gradient descent method whose cost function is based on the indicator function of the migration method or the linear sampling method. We present the design of these cost functionals and illustrate their performance on some preliminary numerical tests.
